Construction / Maintenance

  • Crane

A small mobile crane with battery-power or hybrid electric systems.
  • Electric Boom

This is a traditional aerial work platform for the construction industry. Because of the precise speed control needed for these types of applications, AC technology is primarily used for traction, while DC technology is used for the hydraulic pump motor.
  • Hybrid-Powered Boom Lift

Much like its fully electric counterpart, this aerial platform traditionally utilizes some configuration of a Genset hybrid. The same components found in fully electric booms can be used in the hybrid versions, with the addition of a small IC engine, generator, and on-board charging system.
  • Manlift

A vertical lift to raise a single person.
  • Scissor Lift

The most common and abundant aerial platform in the construction industry. These simple machines traditionally utilize SEM traction motor technology, and are a common staple in the construction rental industry.
    • Rough-terrain Scissor
A version of scissor lift used on unpredictable surfaces and steep grades. Since precise speed control is required for this machine, AC technology is primarily used for the traction drive.
    • Slab Scissor
A scissor lift machine that is intended to be driven on flat, smooth surfaces. This is the most common scissor lift, and primarily utilizes SEM technology for the traction control.
  • Telehandler

This machine is used in both the construction and agriculture industries, and uses its telescoping reach for pallet moving. Traditionally, they have used IC engines, but test cases using electric hybrid systems has proved to be a viable option to comply with Tier IV standards.
