  • Fairway Mower

A mower designed for cutting a golf course fairway or athletic field. Traditionally these mowers utilize hydraulics to power the traction, reels, etc; but many OEMs are investigating electric or hybrid options to eliminate the possibility of leaking hydraulic fluid onto the fairway. Also, the use of electronic traction control will dramatically reduce the possibility of operator damaging the fairway with the drive tires.
  • Greens Mower

A mower that is specifically intended for mowing putting greens. Traditionally these mowers utilize hydraulics to power the traction, reels, etc; but many OEMs are investigating electric or hybrid options to eliminate the possibility of leaking hydraulic fluid onto the greens. Also, the use of electronic traction control will dramatically reduce the possibility of operator damaging the green with the drive tires.
  • High Capacity Mower

A High Capacity Mower is a grass cutting machine used by landscape contractors for standard applications.
  • Mini-Excavator

A mini-excavator is a wheeled or tracked vehicle used for earth moving, and all functions are controlled through the transfer of hydraulic fluid. Studies have shown that these types of applications could greatly benefit from hybrid technologies.
  • Snow Blower

A snow machine is used to remove snow from walkways or driveways. Traditionally these machines run off a PTO from another machine or a small IC engine. Studies have shown that these machines can benefit from efficient motor technologies (AC or PMAC), which can also reduce the overall noise of the machine.
  • Trap Rake

An electric machine used in the maintenance of sand traps on golf courses. This is a relatively simple machine that utilizes either SEM or AC traction motor technology.
