Capacitor charge
Alarm Description:
unexpected charge of capacitor bank
When the key is switched on, the controller tries to charge the capacitor bank through a power resistance, and check if the capacitors are charged within 500ms. If capacitors are not charged within the 500ms, the alarm is tried, and the main contactor will remain open. Some possible causes are:
- 1. Internal charging resistance has been damaged
- 2. If a motor cable is shorted to the frame of the truck, then the cap bank cannot fully charge in the time required, and thus triggering the Capacitor Charge alarm.
- 3. Shorted components on the power board
- 4. Reversed battery supply cables
